It is important that you arrive early for the event to ensure that you get registered easily and with minimal hassle. It will help your preparation if you have read the Course Details beforehand.
Make a checklist of what gear you need. Lay things out the night before and check the list before leaving for the race. Read Transition Tips (Word Document) for some ideas.
Once you have registered, get familiar with the transition area. Plan your swim bike and run entry/exit. Later, attend and listen to the race briefing.
Registration is open from 7am to 9am.
Athletes will have 30 minutes to complete the swim. It is anticipated that the first runner will be on the road before approximately 9:50am, with the race finishing sometime around 10:30am.
This is a timing chip event with pre-registration online.
Registration will be located inside the Aquatic Centre (directions to NAC). There will be signs to it from the car-park/main entrance. It will be open from 07:00 until 9:00am only.
Bear in mind, we must process 300 people so if you leave it late you will end up standing in a long queue which will not help your race preparation.
Any last minute changes or issues not on the video briefing will be dealt with here.
The race will be run in 3 waves, with the waves organised based on supplied swim estimates. The slower swimmers will go in the first wave, with the fastest in the last wave. A list matching athletes to wave start will be published closer to the event.
For the supporters; it is anticipated that the first bike on the road will be at around 10:35am, with the cyclists finished by 1:00pm. We estimate that the first runner will start at around 11:15am, with the race finishing by 1:30pm.
